Free concert tickets for young music fans

The Doric String Quartet will be performing at 11am on Sunday (January 27) at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts on the University of Sussex’s Falmer campus.

It is part of the coffee concert series by Brighton Dome, an ongoing series of Sunday morning chamber concerts.

These concerts are now part of the CAVATINA ticket scheme which subsidises the attendance of young people to chamber music concerts around the country.

Sunday’s performance will feature pieces by the composers Haydn, Bartók and Mendelssohn.

The number of free tickets for eight - 25 year olds are limited for each concert and must be requested in advance.

Apply for the tickets at the Brighton Dome ticket office (currently based within the Brighton Dome) and provide your name, date of birth and how you heard about the concert.

You can then collect your ticket there and then. Tickets are limited to one per person. You can also pick up your free tickets on campus at the University of Sussex.

The Box Office at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA) is usually open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

Free tickets for eight to 25 year olds will also be available at two further Coffee Concerts on February 24 and March 24. The Febuary concert features the Castalian Quartet and March will be the turn of the Aquinas Trio. Visit brightondome.org/join_in/creative_learning/cavatina_scheme/
