Jacques Offenbach – In the Market for Love will offer ten performances between October 10-25.
Spokesman Luke Batchelor said: “This is a new version of Jacques Offenbach’s one-act French farce, Mesdames de la Halle, by Stephen Plaice. Bursting with larger-than-life characters and big tunes, this comic miniature directed by Glyndebourne’s artistic director, Stephen Langridge, sees romance blossom between a handsome young cook and the charming orphan Ciboulette.
