Prestigious places for Ariel Drama Academies students

Building on the skills learnt at Ariel Drama Academies Othellos group, Alex and Max are excited for their next chapters on the stage.

Max said: “I got the email that my application had been successful and the whole family jumped around the living room. What a fabulous Christmas gift!

“I want to play lots of music, sing and dance at the Orpheus Centre and am excited about meeting new friends but hopefully recognising some familiar faces from Othellos too.

“I would like to do some acting professionally during my time at Orpheus and afterwards, but I also hope that my experience there will prepare me in life skills and to lead to a more independent life as an adult.”

Ariel Drama Academies’ Othellos and The Orpheus Centre have a long-standing connection, with several Othellos students furthering their training with The Orpheus Centre.

Ariel artistic director and founder Nicci Hopson said, “We are so proud of our students, Alex and Max, for working so hard to gain their places at Orpheus. It is testament to their dedication and passion for the arts, and we know with Ariel and Orpheus supporting them, they have very bright futures.”

Alex Hodge said: “My Ariel Othellos experience was really useful in making my application as it demonstrated my long-term dedication to the performing arts.

“Othellos also gave me confidence in knowing that drama and acting would be the most important things to me in looking for a college place.

“My experiences with Othellos also helped me choose acting as my major interest from Orpheus‘ curriculum options which also include dance, music, and art. Moving onto a college setting will be a big change but I am excited about doing more drama and acting. And thanks to my time with Ariel Othellos we know I have the skills and experiences to make the most of this opportunity.”
