The superb vocal skills of Eastbourne’s own Grant Martins and Paula Pout combine with a talented orchestra to provide audiences with a delightful afternoon’s diversion.

Grant first came to attention aged just 16 winning the Search For A Star competition South East regional heats, going on to come third in the national competition. His varied experiences since include summer seasons for professional theatre companies, solo shows and of course appearing with Swing Session.

Paula is also on the bill, a celebrated experienced talent who is no stranger to the Congress stage; her varied and extensive career includes performances on stage and premiere cruise ships.

Audiences can settle back and enjoy the tunes of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and of course a tribute to Ted Heath.

If that isn’t enough for local fans then the Len Philips Big Band will also be coming to the Congress Theatre on Sunday September 11.

Swing Session is supported by the Friends of the Devonshire Park Theatre; tickets priced at £12.50 and £14.50, with concessions for Friends of Devonshire Park, to book call 01323 412000 or go to www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk
