And with blissful sunshine overhead and unseasonably warm temperatures, the race day, in South Street Square, couldn’t have been any better.

Competitors from across the town took part in three disciplines; the team race, individual sprint and the precarious and tricky two-pudding challenge.

There were plenty of spills and thrills and perhaps a few sore bottoms but no real injuries for any of the festive fundraisers.

The money raised will help Guild Care, which supports people from across Littlehampton, Worthing and Shoreham.

For a full report of all the action, plus a special picture spread, see next week’s Worthing Herald, out Thursday, December 4.
