The team at Worthing Pride HQ has been working hard behind the scenes during the past year to ensure Pride takes place this summer, says spokesman Gary Richardson.

“The event organisers this year have taken their focus back to the community to ensure businesses that have struggled with the difficulties of the national guidelines are place at the forefront of the event.

“The partnerships this year see Aspire Residential, Cow and Oak Free House and Pitch Restaurant supported by Worthing Pride alongside local artists, performers and with a sparkling of international guests on the main stage.

“Worthing’s hospitality and restaurant operations have been selected by the organisers to provide catering experiences for the 5,000 guests, keeping Worthing Pride’s focus within the local community, ensuring the businesses that have proudly supported the festival are supported too.

“The full line-up this year sees local talent from across Worthing and the Sussex area take to the stage with Aura Jay, Davina Sparkle, Miss Jason & Maisie, Linda Bacardi with Spice LIVE! hosting this years festival.

“A sprinkling of international talent gracing the main stage and supporting these local artists will see world drag circuit stars including Ru Pauls Drag Race USA and UK; Charlie Hides and Cheryl Hole brushing shoulders with the fantastic Danny Beard. 2021 will be closed by the amazing and perfectly suited House Gospel Choir who have gone from strength to strength in the last two years.”

Gary said the programme came after months of robust planning, risk assessment and artist line-up plans: “We can finally bring back to the town the festival that has been so sorely missed this last year.

“This definitely gives us and the people of Worthing something to look forward to. We are still welcoming applications for businesses that wish to support Worthing Pride for 2021. If there’s something you can feel your operation can bring to the local community, we would love to hear from you: [email protected].”
