Managers of the Royal Pavilion Ice Rink want to thank members of the public who came up with penguin names via the VisitBrighton Facebook page last week.
Names with famous Brighton associations were selected for the 15 kid’s skate aids at the South East’s most beautiful ice rink, which has extended its stay in Brighton this year until February 24.
The names chosen included all four Abba members and are George, Chick Ball, Slim, Busk, Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha, Frida, Bing, Magnus, Mollie, Dora, Belle, Oliver and Max.
They all have their new names printed on their chests, so that children can enjoy them even more at the Penguin Club, on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 11am, when children under eight years of age can skate for free when accompanied by a fee paying adult (£10 per adult).
Off-peak times have also been extended for people to enjoy cheap skating Monday to Thursday all day and on Fridays until 4.15pm.
