National short story competition

The March 2014 meeting of West Sussex Writers will take place on Thursday, March 13, from 7.30 pm-9.45 pm, at Inclusive Arts, Heene Gallery, Heene Road Worthing.

The evening’s main theme will be a talk by Ian Black on screenwriting, an overview of the skills, techniques and formats involved in writing for film.

Raffle, competition news. There is still time to enter the Writers’ second national short story competition. Entries can be up to 3,000 words (no poetry). All entries must be previously unpublished. First prize £200. More details available from the West Sussex Writers website. Closing date for entries is midnight on March 31.

Entry on the night. £3 for member, £5 for non-members, free to saver members. Free refreshments during the interval.
