Steyning Camera Club is looking forward to be starting a new season in a new home in Upper Beeding, at The Village Hall.
Spokesman Ken Woods said: “This year we are kicking off the season by holding an evening dedicated to prospective new members on September 4 to meet both with each other and with some of our more experienced members to discuss what the club has to offer now and also how the club can help them in the future.
“Our main aim is, first and foremost, to enjoy photography and we offer a friendly, open, welcoming and supportive approach to photographers of all interests and abilities from complete beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.”
Ken added: “While we have an interesting, exciting and full programme of varied speaker events, which will also be open to non-members at a small charge, we also run competitions, that are designed to provide members with feedback on their work in a friendly and encouraging manner.
“We are also working hard to help members develop their interest, all at their own pace, and to this end are running a workshop programme designed to help and encourage members with some of the more intricate aspects of what can be a technical pursuit.
“Beyond that, perhaps for more experienced members, we hold a further set of workshops designed to help members reach out and obtain distinctions with The Royal Photographic Society.
“There is also an opportunity for members to become involved during the daytime and to explore the local area, as we hold a ‘coffee club’ at various locations on alternate Tuesdays throughout the year, as well as organising trips further afield in the summer months.
“Steyning Camera Club is the place for photography in the Steyning area.
“Why not come along and see what we are about?
“Steyning Camera Club meet on the second and fourth Wednesday and third Thursday of each month (7.15 for 7.30pm) at the Upper Beeding Village Hall, High Street, Upper Beeding, BN44 3WN.
