Berner squeezes a Hastings stop on his world tour

Internationally acclaimed klezmer/punk accordionist Geoff Berner visits Hastings on tomorrow, supported by talented and lively locals Colonel Mustard.

The Canadian songwriter, who has supported the likes of Billy Bragg and The Be Good Tanyas, plays his 15th tour of Europe in support of his highly acclaimed third LP Wedding Dance of the Widow Bride.

Canadian press have called the album 'the best Canadian album and the best world album' (Edmonton Sun).

Don't Feed The Poets who are promoting the event said: "Geoff is a world class talent and a mesmerising, moving and hilarious performer live.

"We are extremely lucky to have him come to Hastings for the third time.

"He's proved a big hit on the past two occassions and we are expecting a big crowd, especially with such great local support from Colonel Mustard."

Tickets are available only on the door for 6/5 and will be on sale from 8pm, when doors open.
