Brighton church frontage unveiled after restoration
The Brighton Unitarian Church in New Road, which dates back to 1820, has been undergoing work after a survey in 2016 revealed its columns and portico were under threat of structural collapse.

Hide AdThe work took place after the discovery that the church’s iconic Greek classical pillars were under threat of collapse and the Grade II-listed building was placed on the Historic England 'at risk' register.
Churchgoers and members of the community kicked into action with a fundraising campaign and a £227,500 Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
But despite the building works nearing completion, Marion said: “We still have a way to go to raise the funds required to pay the full and final bills and are very appreciative of any further help to achieve this.”
