CARNIVAL TIME: At East Preston

PIMM'S, pooches and a parade are among the highlights of the festival's final weekend.

Community groups in East Preston and surrounding villages are putting the finishing touches to their floats and colourful costumes in readiness for Saturday's carnival parade, in which festival "royalty", Sophie Taggart, princess, Howie Cobby, prince, and their attendants James Jackson and Gemma Sangster, will take pride of place.

The Village Green is the hub of activities on Sunday afternoon, with the festival fun novelty dog show, croquet, that quintessential English summer drink, Pimm's, and cream teas.
