CARNIVAL TIME: At Rustington

LIVE music, colourful costumes, motorbikes and belly dancers are not the usual sights of Rustington, but the carnival atmosphere is ready to take over.

Organised by Littlehampton Lions Club, the Rustington Carnival will take to the streets on June 7.

The procession, led by an East Preston fire engine and the Silk Road Belly Dancers, will form in Holmes Lane, ready for a 1pm move off.

A fte, at the nearby Rustington Recreation Ground, will start at 2pm, with a funfair, stalls and a catering tent offering burgers and hot dogs, as well as a selection of draught Arundel ales.

Events will start at 2.15pm, with the Littlehampton Community School Steel Band, followed at 2.45pm by The Solent Eagles Children's Motorcycle display team.

At 3.15pm, the Regis Troopers Pom-Pom Troupe will perform, and at 3.40pm, the Lorna Benson Dance School will take to the arena. The Arundel and Littlehampton Scout Band will then give a display, and finishing off, at 4.20pm, The Solent Eagles will return with another display of dare-devil riding.
