CLASSIC VEHICLES: At Amberley Museum

THE work-horses of road transport will feature in a brand-new event.

Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre will be holding its first commercial vehicle day on Sunday, August 22.

Exhibits from steam vehicles to vintage buses, from motorcycle floats to tractors and from fire engines to vans, and many more, will be on show at the museum, next to the village's railway station.

Kate Russell, marketing manager at Amberley, said the show would "interest and delight" visitors of all ages.

"This unique gathering provides the opportunity for visitors to see a mix of privately owned vehicles and museum exhibits.

"Together with the owners, visitors can celebrate the heritage of commercial vehicles which all played an important part in our history.

"Visitors will be able to get up close to all of the exhibits and talk to their owners about any interesting aspects of the vehicles."
