Comic promises Something Better

Popular comic Josie Long comes to Brighton this Saturday (February 11) and brings a show brimming with optimism and hope.

There are still tickets available for Something Better, Long’s eighth national stand-up tour, which checks in at the Dome this weekend.

She said: “I’m 34, I wanted to have kids by now, and be in love, and have a country that didn’t vote with the far right parties to march us all off a cliff.

“And be able to do all the awesome stuff that activists do, that I can’t do, too.

“I thought we would have won by now. And I wanted to be taller and better looking.”

The star of BBC Radio 4’s Romance and Adventure and presenter of Short Cuts, promises a night about wanting more from life, about struggling with realising what you are, who you are and what you can’t change about yourself, and about really feeling like an outsider for the first time.

Tickets are priced £15 (£13 concession), and the Dome is also offering a special deal for students, one ticket for Josie Long and one ticket for award-winning Irish comedian David O’Doherty (Fri 10 Feb) for £22.50.
