The event is being organised by Margo Andrews on behalf of Chichester Harbour Rotary Club, and she is delighted at the programme which has come together – a fund-raiser for local families in need.

“I have been working on it since January, and we have got an incredible range,” says Margo. “It is just amazing. We have got all ages. We have tried to include all branches and all age groups interested in taking part in a variety concert.”

The programme kicks off with pre-prep children from the Prebendal School followed by the Prebendal string quartet. Jessie Young Husband School will perform I Have A Song To Sing and Raise My Voice before husband-and-wife team Helen and Geoff Morris offer their own Flanders & Swann tribute.

Performers from Chichester College will follow before a flute quartet from Lavant House School takes the stage. Rounding off the first half will be The Stage School, offering a modern interpretation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Following the interval, during which wine and soft drinks will be served, Bishop Luffa-based band DCR will restart the show, taking to the stage in Beatles costumes before doing their own songs.

Westbourne House School choir are next up, followed by the Arabesque School of Dance. The Chichester Players will offer an extract from A Midsummer Night’s Dream before four 17-year-olds from Chichester Festival Youth Theatre take to the stage with a drama.
