FOLK MUSIC: Tim Broadbent at Willows

ARUNDEL'S Willows Folk Club is gearing up for a veritable blast from the past as the club prepares to welcome its latest special guest, singer-guitarist Tim Broadbent on Wednesday, March 3.

Tim is a former stalwart of the local folk scene in Sussex and the south '“ back in the 1970s and 1980s he would perform regularly at the local folk clubs in and around his native Brighton, whilst travelling to play gigs nationwide, also recording and releasing a number of records.

Stylistically, Tim sings and plays a mixture of classic contemporary folk from writers such as Bob Dylan all the way through to Jimmy Buffett, and mixes in with this some traditional folk, blues and ragtime guitar playing, along with a couple of self-penned numbers.

Entrance for the gig, held in the function room of Arundel Football Club's Mill Road ground, where the club meet every Wednesday at 8pm, is 4.
