FOOTAGE of Shoreham during the early 1960s will be screened in the town.

Paul Plumb's second feature, Shoreham Peeps, is a film archive from 1962, showing the local sights and events of the year.

Following the success of A River Runs Through Our Town, this film focuses on local personalities and records events such as the reconstruction of Shoreham High Street.

It also follows a Herald reporter writing a local news story, from the interviews through to the paper's printing with the old hot-metal technology.

The film will be shown by the Shoreham Society at St Peter's Church hall, West Street, Shoreham, at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 21.

Tickets are 2 for Shoreham Society members and 3 for non-members.
