It's looking up for Beth

THINGS are looking good for local girl Beth Thomas.

Not only has she made it to the regional finals of the South Coast Idol competition, but she has also racked up enough points to climb to an impressive number 16 in Channel 4's Popworld Promotes unsigned charts.

A singer-songwriter since the age of 14, Beth's music has evolved to become accomplished and passionate, not dissimilar to artistes such as Beth Orton and Tori Amos.

Her track Thunderstorm has catapulted her high into the Popworld Promotes chart and if she gets to number one by the end of the month, we will be seeing her perform live on Channel 4.

You can help get her there by downloading her song from www.popworldpromotes.com.

The South Coast Idol competition, which is second only to X Factor as the largest talent search in the UK, has whittled down the hundreds of wannabes to just 16 in each region and Beth is hoping for a lot of local support at the regional finals, which take place on April 20 at The Concorde 2, Brighton.

Your vote could be the deciding one, as audience members will be voting for their favourite stars of the evening and only two of the 16 will go through to the finals.
