Lively lunch-time jazz recital at All Souls' Church
Daughter and father duo, Anna and John Purcell, will be giving a jazz recital on Wednesday lunchtime (September 19) at All Souls' Church, Susans Road.
Anna and John are well known to Eastbourne audiences as respectively the vocalist and pianist in Con Brio where Anna also plays the piano and ukulele and John the tenor sax. The concert will run from 1:00 pm until approximately 2:00 pm, and every item will be sung by Anna and accompanied by John on piano.
Expect some up-tempo numbers as well as ballads like” Danny Boy” and “She Moved Through The Fair”, three original numbers (including John’s “Eastbourne Song”).
