Famous Ditchling resident and music legend Herbie Flowers is jazzing up the Brighton Fringe in May.
Herbie specialises in bass guitar, double bass and tuba and is one of Britain’s best-known session players.
He has played in T.Rex and Sky with John Williams and has worked with many of the music greats, including Bowie, Lou Reed, Nilsson and members of the Beatles.
It’s perhaps less well known that Herbie composed Clive Dunn’s famous hit ‘Grandad’.
You can watch Herbie and his jazz band every Sunday through May. Enjoy their extraordinary talent at the Brighton Spiegeltent in the Old Steine, Brighton, on May 4, 11, 18, 25 and on June 1.
Each two-hour session starts at 11am and tickets cost £10 each. Visit brightonfringe.org or call 01273 917272.
