Popular arts festival returns for sixth year

This year’s Seaford Live! Festival takes place over 10 days from September 6 to September 15.

Pubs, clubs and parks in Seaford will host a range of musical events including jazz, folk, classical, rock, blues, choirs and much more.

Talented musicians will be performing along with guest artists and most Seaford pubs will be hosting bands during the festival. Drama and poetry will feature along with the music.

Musical highlights include the Fretful Federation Mandolin Orchestra, Richard Durrant, The Baker Boys, Barber Taylor & Reed, Seaford Youth Orchestra, together with local bands and singers. The Synergy Theatre will give us Shakespeare in Crouch Gardens and there will be poetry and plays at the Crypt and other theatres. Events for children include singing and a science show the ‘Bigger Bang’.

This year the festival is supporting Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. Check the website www.seafordlive.org, join the Seaford Live! group on facebook and keep listening to Seahaven FM as details of performers and venues are released.
