Popular twin town band returns

LEWES Twinning Association is hosting a visit by an accordion band from its German twin town.

The colourful Schlüchttal Akkordion Orchester from Waldshut-Tiengen is returning to the county town this month to give two concerts.

They will be at the All Saints Centre, Friars Walk, at 7.30pm on May 18 and May 19.

The Chairman of the Twinning Association, Jackie Price, said: “We are so looking forward to seeing the accordion band. They last came in 2008, playing to packed houses, and we have been trying to organise for them to come back for some time.

“Their concerts are always such fun and I am sure it will be a very good evening.”

Tickets, priced at £7.50 and £5 concessions, are now available to purchase from Lewes Travel Agency or Lewes Town Hall.
