PIRATES DAY: In Shoreham

A PIRATES day is being held at the Marlipins Museum, in Shoreham, High Street, on Saturday, August 21.

Open from 10am to 1pm, the event costs 2 for adults and 1 for children.

There will be the chance to make weevil biscuits, learn pirate language, ropework and navigation, find museum treasure, and pirate dressing-up and hat- making.

There will be lots more activities for children and families throughout the autumn, including a spooky museum trail during the October half-term.

The museum is also inviting people to get involved in designing the new, ship-themed, children and families' area of the museum.
