Step up to the habit

Filthy Little Habits now stands as Worthing's longest running alternative music night.

For more than two years it has continued to bring cutting edge new bands to Worthing, while providing a much-needed platform for local bands to cut their teeth.

2006 saw the club night up the stakes, putting on shows by promising artistes like Jamie T, The Video Nasties, Kid Harpoon and many more.

Since the beginning of 2007, Filthy Little Habits has moved to the first and third Fridays of each month at Club East, Railway Approach.

The next Filthy Little Habits is tomorrow (Friday), between 10pm and 3am, with the customary exciting new bands playing live.

First up are The Duloks, pictured, a London-based trio who have received plaudits from both the NME and influential online site drownedinsound.com

Single Gonna Follow Your Star Trail is released later this year but can be heard on their myspace page, www.myspace.com/theduloks

Headlining the night are Clarky Cat.

Straddling the twin disciplines of guitar slinging and synth-pounding, Clarky Cat are what some people might deem "New Rave" '“ but with a band as inventive as Clarky Cat it's pointless trying to pigeonhole them with a buzz phrase.

The band are on an unstoppable jaunt around the UK and when they arrive in Worthing you'll want to be there to catch them.

As usual, promoters Tony of the Sea, Kranz and Sophia will be manning the decks with a mix of almost everything.
