SUMMER WORKSHOPS: At Amberley Museum

CRAFTY activities will keep small hands busy, and there will be fun and games for the big boys, too.

Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre will be running a series of workshops encouraging families to drop in and go green throughout the summer holidays, and will also host a Harley-Davison show, on Sunday, August 15.

Shaws, a Sussex dealership, will be taking a selection of brand-new machines for visitors to admire, and owners and enthusiasts from across the area will also be getting involved.

"If you own a Harley or are just hopeful, Amberley is the place to be on Sunday," said Tony Kemp, event organiser.

"Our museum is an ideal place for such a celebration '“ not only does the site lend itself beautifully to such an event, but the ride to it is hard to beat as well!"

Throughout the next few weeks, families can reduce, re-use and recycle during eco-craft workshops, go wild on a chalk pit safari, become eco-detectives and discover 10 innovations that changed the world, and create their own environmental sculptures.

Two sessions will run every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 11am-1pm, and 2-4pm, until August 27.
