Stewart Lee is the headliner, supported by Zoe Lyons and Jim Holland, at Brighton’s Charity Chuckle on Tuesday, July 8.
Charity Chuckle offers stand-up for local charities, this time Fare Share Brighton – food redistribution.
Instead of a raffle, Charity Chuckle Fare Share would welcome a harvest festival approach: bring along a tin of food, dried goods or a packet of biscuits, and they will be shared with those in need.
The venue is the Komedia Studio, with doors opening at 7.30pm and the show starting at 8pm. Tickets: £10 and £5 concessions from Komedia box office and online.
It all comes at a happy time for the event. Brighton’s unique comedy fundraiser marks its fifth birthday this summer. So far, it has raised £14,000 for the community.
Kerry said: “Stewart Lee will be performing material from his Work In Progress tour, A Room with a Stew, to launch the DVD of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle (series three).
“We will also have new material from Brighton’s very favourite adopted daughter, Zoe Lyons. And because it’s Jim Holland’s birthday the day before, he gets the special birthday treat of performing a set from his debut Edinburgh show, Shoegazing.”
