Three ballets are coming to the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne, over the next couple of months.

Featuring an impressive cast and a live orchestra with more than 30 musicians, The Russian State Ballet and Opera House bursts onto the stage again with another magical season.

The company has earned high praise for its past ballet and opera performances and this promises to be an unmissable treat for the whole family.

Upcoming shows

l Wednesday, November 19, 7.30pm: Swan Lake, the greatest of all romantic ballets. Prince Siegfried chances upon a flock of swans while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful woman he is instantly captivated. Will his love prove strong enough to break the evil spell that she is under?

l Friday, December 5, 7.30pm. Giselle, a compelling legend of tragic romance. A tale of betrayal and love by 19th century’s French composer Adolphe Adam, and one of the most celebrated ballets.

l Saturday, December 6, 2.30pm and 7.30pm: The Nutcracker, an enduring Christmas favourite. Prepare to enter a magical new world with a nutcracker who may just be a handsome prince in disguise.
