Burgess Hill’s Great Ote Hall will provide the surroundings for a heart-warming charity concert this month.
Set in the historic 16th century estate, A Winter Bouquet of Songs and Words is in aid of St Peter & St James Hospice as well as Wivelsfield Church.
It will present music and readings from the Lea Graham Quartet.
The quartet has been entertaining audiences for many years with a hearty mixture of music and mirth and features Susan Fleet, Belinda Sharp, Christopher Simms and David Farmer with accompaniment provided by Geraldine Rowland.
Susan said: “With a programme packed with solos, duets, quartets and readings, the afternoon will include classics such as Paddy McGinty’s Goat, Ave Maria, Christopher Robin and Ye Banks and Braes. To cater for all tastes, there will also be readings to chime with the season.”
The Lea Graham Quartet’s A Winter Bouquet of Songs and Words will be held on Sunday, February 22, at 2.30pm. Tickets are £15, and the price includes mulled and sparkling wine with savouries and a selection of cake. Contact Carola Godman Irvine on 01444 232179 (do not leave any messages) or St Peter & St James Hospice on 01444 471598 for tickets.
