Beyond Theatre presents the world premiere of The Dress Circle, written and adapted by Laurie Graham for the Brighton Fringe.

How well does any woman really know her husband? Barbara is 50, a happily married, mother and grandmother living a comfortable life until her daughter turns Bridezilla, her granddaughter is diagnosed with leukaemia and her husband announces he has been a transvestite for 30 years.

Adapted by Laurie Graham from her 1998 novel, this new-one woman play has all the warm and bittersweet humour which has led to her work being compared with Alan Bennett and Victoria Wood, she promises.

The venue is The Old Courtroom Theatre, 118 Church Street, Brighton, from May 9-12, 7pm. Tickets on 01273 775461.
