Peter Nichols’s rip roaring comedy PRIVATES ON PARADE comes to Theatre Royal Brighton from Thursday 22 – Saturday 31 August. It’s 1948 and peace has returned to Britain but in South East Asia British soldiers are fighting a forgotten war against communism. In order to keep the troops entertained as they face the might of Chinese Communism, SADUSEA (Song and Dance Unit South East Asia) are called in to help. Jason Sutton (Miss Jason) leads a talented troop of fine young soldiers in this hilarious play with music. Jason plays cross dressing Acting Captain Terri Dennis as he romps his way through the jungle, giving us performances as Marlene Dietrich, Vera Lynn, Carmen Miranda and Noël Coward.
