Seaford Choral Society are practising hard for their next concert, Come And Sing, on Friday, April 18.

A spokesman said: “We begin this year with our now traditional Almost Instant Good Friday Come and Sing concert.

“Why not join us and sing with the Choir in St Leonards Church on at 7pm.”

The programme this year will be: Vivaldi’s Gloria; J S Bach’s Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring; Vaughan Williams; Old Hundreth Psalm; and a selection of short pieces sung by soloists

Jacquelyn Fugelle (soprano) and Rebecca Ansty (alto). Sion Parry will conduct, with organ accompaniment played by Richard Toms.

On Good Friday, the day starts at 5pm in St Leonards Church with a run-through, followed by refreshments, before the performance at 7pm.

“As in previous years, all singers and audience members are asked to pay a small charge at the door of £3 which will go to a charity chosen by St Leonards Church.

“This year proceeds will go to Waves, a local charity supporting families in Seaford.”
