Strictly Murder begins in Ringmer this week

Performances of Ringmer Dramatic Society’s spring production of Strictly Murder, by Brian Clemens, begin on Wednesday, March 20, and continue until Saturday at the Village Hall.

It is 1939 and an English couple are living in idyllic isolation in a rustic cottage in Provence. Their peace in France is about to be shattered - and not by the coming war.

The murder mystery, by courtesy of Samuel French Ltd, is directed by Jayne Marshall-Roelich.

The Stage correspondent said: “... what a play. It’s certainly one of the best murder mysteries I’ve seen and grips you by the throat from start to finish ... the plot’s full of twists and turns ...”

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.45pm start. There is a bar, with interval refreshments available.

Tickets, priced at £8, van be bought online at; by telephone on 07753 317373; by email to (specifying which night and which seated area, front six rows or raised back six rows); and from Middletons in the Ringmer shopping precinct.
