The Festival of Flowers opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, June 5.

Plant enthusiasts and families alike were all queued to get into the festival Wednesday morning, eager to take a look.

Wendy Steibelt had never been to the festival before and was ‘very impressed’ with how the arrangements looked. She said: “I’m really enjoying it so far, I know a little bit about flower arranging and can see how much time and effort has gone into everything I’ve seen so far. It’s lovely, I love gardening so I know how difficult it is to grow and get some of the flowers on show right as well!”

John Baker has been attending the festival of flowers for 10 years now and was ‘enjoying’ this year’s offering. He said: “I’m impressed so far, It’s great to take a look at it all, it’s relaxing.”

The Festival of Flowers will take place at Chichester Cathedral from Wednesday, June 4 to Saturday, June 8.
