Coffee morning fundraiser at ‘iconic’ building to be held to support Eastbourne Mayor’s charities

One of the Mayor of Eastbourne’s charities for 2024/25 is hosting a coffee morning fundraiser and talk about the history of Grade II listed building Leaf Hall.

The event is at 10.30am on Saturday, November 9, in Leaf Hall Community Centre.

As well as a talk by Alan Wenham, people will have the opportunity to see inside the 19th century building, including its Main Hall, and meet the Mayor in her full civic regalia.

The Mayor, Councillor Candy Vaughan, said: “Leaf Hall is one of Eastbourne’s iconic buildings and has a fascinating history so please join us for what promises to be a great event. I look forward to meeting everyone there.”

Doors open at 10am and entry costs £5.

All proceeds will go to the Mayor’s chosen charities of the year - Leaf Hall Disability Access Fund which aims to provide full disabled access to all parts of its centre and The Chaseley Trust, which supports people with neurodisabilities.
