Gok Wan is bringing his style advice and tips to Brighton

Fashion guru Gok Wan is excited to bring his One Size Fits All tour to Brighton.

He said: “I can’t wait to visit Brighton, it is one of my favourite cities.

“I love the scene and the people down there, and I love the free nature of the fashion.”

The One Size Fits All – The Style and Body Confidence Masterclass takes place on Saturday, September 14 at Hilton Brighton Metropole.

It starts with a brunch and glass of bubbly, which is followed by two runway shows featuring items from local clothing boutiques.

Gok will break down the myths about this season’s biggest trends at Gok’s Style School, there will be a body shape and control-wear masterclass, and one lucky guest will be plucked from the crowd for a special makeover.

"It's really important to an event like this because I think that all of us need something to look forward to every single season," he said.

"None of us should reject the idea of actually the way that we look has a huge amount to do with our body confidence, plus we're reinforcing local talent."

There is also the opportunity to shop in the Dreamspace, plus everyone leaves with a goody bag of free products.

Gok said: “One Size Fits All was a device that I created to take what I do on television, out to the masses.

“We tried loads of different things over the years, but nothing ever seemed to fit until we started the fashion brunch club.

“The moment that you combine hungry shoppers, fashion eager people with brands, retailers, food and drink the whole thing turned into one of the most fabulous days out.”

who encouraged women and men to ‘get naked’ in his six season Channel 4 series How To Look Good Naked and is now a regular on ITV 1’s This Morning sharing his fashion and style tips. Gok’s new show for 2019, Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire, airs weekly on TLC and in its first week became one of the top 5 highest rating shows ever on the channel.

In 2006, he was approached by Channel 4 and asked to present his own fashion show, How to Look Good Naked, but had previously worked with the likes of Bryan Ferry, All Saints, Damian Lewis, and Lauren Laverne.

With a number of years in the industry he has seen a lot of changes.

He said: "The fashion industry is ever changing at the moment we're having a really tough time on the great British high street, which is one of the reasons why I want to do One Size Fits All to reinforce all of those brands, marketing campaigns and give them opportunity to showcase the work that they've got.

"One thing that I've noticed is that more people are shopping online now. We have to consider online as part of the British high street, but it's giving people access to that stock."

Gok is also now a regular on ITV1’s This Morning sharing his fashion and style tips, and his new show for 2019, Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire, airs weekly on TLC and in its first week became one of the top five highest rating shows ever on the channel.
