West Meads quilters put on colourful display

Quilts as big as nine square feet turned West Meads Hall into a mosaic of creativity.The hall's Wednesday and Friday quilting groups staged their final show last Saturday.

About 20 large quilts were on display as well as 50 medium-sized ones and several smaller items.

Yvonne Hickmore, the groups’ founder, said: “We had about 170 visitors and everybody said it was a good show.“
