This is Rustington's scene

RUSTINGTON-BASED promotions company Shiny Scouse Promotions have been putting on band nights in Littlehampton for two years now.

With a huge passion for young up-and-coming bands, promoters Phil and Paddy regularly showcase live acts at the Littlehampton Railway Club and other venues across the south.

As Phil puts it: "We are just trying mainly to stimulate a music scene around this way, as there are a lot of good bands who aren't getting the chance to showcase their stuff.

"We're helpful, friendly and want to create a scene that will last and get bands the experience they need."

The next showcase, on March 24, sees some of the best young groups in the area playing an all-day stint at the Littlehampton Steam Packet.

With approximately eight bands in the line-up, the music kicks off at 2pm and runs until 11pm. Bands already confirmed to play include:

The line-up consists of Warren Page, 15, on vocals and guitar, Dale Tucker, 16, on drums and Peter Kelly, 15, on bass and occasional vocals.

They first started as a three-piece about one year ago and have since racked up a great number of their own songs.

With classy rhythms and catchy melodies, these young lads are going places, rapidly gaining a following all around the south coast.
