Worthing Birdman 2010

WORTHING Birdman is the biggest weekend event of the year.

The two-day event takes place on Worthing Pier features professional flyers in the Condor class, inventors in the Da Vinci class and fun charity flyers in the Kingfisher class.

On Saturday, August 14 between 2.10-4pm the Condor flyers will be testing their skills and attempting to reach the 100 metre jackpot mark.

On Sunday, August 15 from 2.50pm until 5pm, all flyers will be launching from the platform at the end of Worthing Pier.

Keep up with all the action from Worthing Pier with the Herald's online live and interactive Worthing Birdman blog.

The Herald online team will be checking in between 2-3pm on Saturday, and 2.30-3.30pm on Sunday at Worthing Pier on the online location game Foursquare, in a bid to unlock the rare swarm badge.

After the event videos will go online at this website, and a Worthing Birdman 2010 picture special will appear in the Thursday, August 19 edition of the Herald series.
