Road closures: four for Wealden drivers this week

Drivers in and around Wealden will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A27, from 7am February 21 to 5pm October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, Polegate to Berwick, layby closure for major highway improvement works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A27, from 8pm August 1 to 6am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 eastbound and westbound, Wilmington Green junction, temporary traffic signals for major highway improvement works.

A27, from 6am August 4 to 6am August 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 eastbound and westbound, Berwick to Milton Street, carriageway closure for major highway improvement works, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.

A27, from 8pm August 15 to 6am August 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 eastbound and westbound, Bopeep Lane, advanced signage for off network closure of Bopeep Lane for major highway improvement works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
