Adventurous and innovative
One of modern folk music’s most innovative bands, Lau, is at the De La Warr Pavilion, in Bexhill, on November 21.
The band features the beautiful vocals and skillful guitar playing of award winning Orcadian songwriter Kris Drever, pioneering post-everything accordion and electronics from Martin Green, and the timeless masterful and melodic creativity of Scottish fiddler Aidan O’Rourke.
Their latest album Race The Loser was shortlisted for Album Of The Year by BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and featured in MOJO magazine and fROOTS Best Albums of 2012.
Following the album’s release, Lau this year embarked upon a world tour.
