Ben returns to panto after success last year

Following the success of last year’s Pantomime Peter Pan, Ben Watson who received rave reviews for his performance as Smee, will be returning to play Simple Simon in this year’s White Rock Theatre pantomime adventure Dick Whittington.

Ben became a firm favourite with audiences and is delighted to be returning to Hastings for the panto season.

Since last year’s pantomime, Ben hasn’t really left Neverland or got rid of his inner pirate as he spent the summer back in his hometown of Bracknell...being a pirate.

Ben has also been writing his own character/sketch comedy material which he has been performing at various comedy and cabaret venues in London and around the country.

When asked what he felt about playing the role of Simple Simon, Ben said: “My family have told me that the part suits me very well, which I don’t really understand because my names not really Simon?”.

Dick Whittington opens at the White Rock Theatre on Friday 13 December and runs until Sat 4 January 2014.
