Bexhill and District Gardens and Allotments Society - July 25

FULLY booked - that's Bexhill and District Gardens and Allotments Society's half-day trip to Denmans Gardens at Fontwell next month.Competition for places on the popular trips organised by chairman Dick Lancaster is such that many members returning from the annual holiday book for the next year's holiday before Dick has even started to plan it!

A full programme of events is set out in the chairman's latest newsletter.

It includes a reminder that this year's annual show will be on a Thursday. The August 21 event will again be at Bexhill Leisure Centre and will be open to the public during the afternoon.

In addition to the Denmans Gardens trip, members will be spending a long weekend at Castle Donnington in September; taking a day trip to Kensington Palace in October and enjoying their annual dinner at the Cooden Beach Hotel in November.

Also in November, members will be going to the Christmas Spectacular at Thursford in Norfolk.

By popular request, the society will again be undertaking a Christmas cruise and lunch down the Solent from Southampton in December.

Plans for 2009 include a trip to Holiday On Ice at Brighton in January, the annual meeting in February and the eight-day annual holiday in April when the Isle of Man will be the destination.
