In her report, chairman Rona Hemingway expressed her sadness at the passing away of the vice-chairman, Michael Vigar.

She thanked her committee and other volunteers for their excellent work. Rona declared the trips to Dover Castle and the Royal Military Canal and the National Army Museum and Chelsea Hospital as great successes as were the varied and informative talks enjoyed throughout the year.

The chairman also reminded everyone that this year we celebrate our 20th anniversary, the first meeting having been held on February 20, 1989.

Among the several celebratory events planned is a special social event at the Manor Barn in June.
