Spring has arrived, and with it comes a whole lot of family-friendly Easter fun at two National Trust places in Sussex. Nymans and Standen are both running playful Easter trails, perfect for getting outdoors, exploring gorgeous spring gardens, and enjoying some simple seasonal fun together.

Get Adventurous at Nymans

From Sat 21 March to Sun 12 April 2026, families can take part in Nymans’ festival‑inspired Easter trail, open daily from 10am–5pm. Kids can try out fun activities like mindful yoga poses and joking around at the comedy corner, all while wandering through Nymans' beautiful spring gardens, full of blossom and bursts of colour. Trail packs are £3.50, including bunny ears, an activity sheet, and a dairy, vegan or Free From chocolate egg.

Nymans is known for its stunning combination of gardens, woodland paths and dramatic spring displays. It’s the ideal place to enjoy the first signs of the season, from fresh blooms to peaceful woodland corners.

Hop Into Spring at Standen House & Garden

Just up the road in East Grinstead, Standen invites you on an Easter trail packed with family activities. Running from 14 March to 12 April 2026, the trail includes classic garden games like hook‑a‑duck and skittles, plus the chance to spot hidden Easter eggs inside the house. Trails are £3.50 per child, which includes bunny ears, an activity sheet and a chocolate egg. Normal admission applies.

Standen’s hillside garden is full of charm at this time of year, with spring colour popping up across terraces, woodland paths and historic Arts and Crafts‑inspired planting. It’s a great spot for a relaxed spring wander with the whole family.

A Perfect Spring Day Out

Whether you're following clues along the trails, enjoying the colourful spring borders or stretching your legs in the woodlands, both Nymans and Standen offer a great chance to make the most of the Easter holidays outdoors. With blooming gardens, wildlife to spot and plenty of fresh air, it’s an easy and uplifting family day out.

"We are excited to welcome families to both Nymams and Standen this Easter," said General Manager, Amanda Hill.
