Classical concert at St Thomas’s
A concert by classical duo Melodia, Women of Opera, willl take place at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, in Magdalen Road, St Leonards, tonight (Friday, August 9), at 7.30pm.
Anya Williams and Lucy Ashton have been performing together for a number of years.
Their accompanist this evening will be Richard Eldridge.
The programme rediscovers the stories of renowned female characters from operas such as Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte and Marriage of Figaro, and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
The recital is free, though all donations will go to St Michael’s Hospice.
