Dickens’ Christmas classic
Bringing to life a whole host of Dickensian characters, from the spectral Jacob Marley to the warm and loving Bob Cratchit and his son Tiny Tim, plus the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, Clive repeats his acclaimed Royal Shakespeare Company performance.
Clive explains: “In nearly 50 years as an actor, I would say that A Christmas Carol contains the perfect script full of emotion and rich with characterisation. It’s an absolute joy to perform. I first encountered Ebenezer Scrooge 18 years ago when I was invited to play him for the RSC in a huge, lavish production adapted by John Mortimer. Once played, never forgotten, and it was hard to get the old boy out of my head. Hence I decided to adapt the story into a show for myself.

Dickens’ extraordinary story of re-kindling the human spirit and infusing it with a better and more deserving understanding of its fellow human beings is more apt today than it has ever been.”
