FAMILY FUN: Steyning Downland Scheme’s Big Picnic

FAMILY fun and the filling of tums will bring the whole community together.

The Steyning Downland Scheme will hold its annual Big Picnic on September 11, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, at the Old Rifle Range, Mouse Lane.

A spokeswoman for the scheme said: “This annual event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the last of the summer sunshine, there is something for everyone to enjoy, so whether you fancy a foraging walk or learning how to make a corn dolly, make sure you put this date in your diary.

“Learn how to press your own apples while the kids enjoy a tractor ride!”

Revellers should take along a picnic and rug, and some apples to press.

Free bacon sandwiches will be served with tea and coffee.
