A touch of Queen as Loxwood Drive-In Movies add more films and dates
Spokeswoman Heather Joy said: “As always the organisers are ensuring it will be a night to remember, and with the two screenings of Bohemian Rhapsody on August 1 and 2, Tim Staffell will be performing live Doin Alright, the first song in the film which Tim co-wrote with Queen’s lead guitarist Brian May.
“Tim Staffell’s character features early in Bohemian Rhapsody as he was the lead vocalist and bassist with Smile, the rock trio which also included Brian May and Roger Taylor, evolving as Queen when Tim introduced college friend Freddie Mercury and John Deacon also joined the band. Both individually, and together with Brian May, Tim was responsible for a much of the original song writing for Queen, with the film including the transition of the band from Smile to Queen.

“Running twice a day from August 1-4 with a family matinee performance and evening showing, this American style movie extravaganza really has thought of everything. On arriving in the meadow, the friendly and polite staff will explain how it all works, hand over a food and beverage menu and guide you to your parking area.
“The sound is relayed into the car through the in car stereo system, and the quick, efficient and freshly cooked food service is well priced and easily ordered by texting your order to the number given, before it is swiftly delivered to your car.”
