Hastings, Bexhill Organ & Keyboard Society - July 18

OUR June meeting was in two halves. The first half was taken up by the 35th annual meeting of the society, and in the second half members where entertained by musicians from "Bonners Music" of Eastbourne who demonstrated the merits of the Yamaha Clavinova Piano and the Yamaha Keyboard PSR S500. The music produced from both these instruments was well received by members.

The artist for our next concert on Thursday, July 31 is the very popular Brett Wales playing his Wersi Scala Organ.

The Scala has a state of the art computer based operating system, which allows for constant updates and improvements to be made. Brett is one of the top organists in the country having started playing at a very young age; he was just nine when he was invited by Franz Lambert the famous German organist to play at one of his concerts. This was the beginning of Brett's association with Wersi that has continued to this day.

Our concerts take place on the last Thursday of the month and are held at The Pebsham CP School, School Place, Hastings Road, Bexhill, at 7.30pm.
